Holiday Inn Express Preston - South, an IHG Hotel

Stayed at Preston for one night to break up our journey returning to Devon from Edinburgh. Was very impressed with the standards at the hotel. On check in, Adam on reception was awesome! A total gent, friendly and extremely professional! We had our dog with us, and he also received a very warm welcome, and a small bag of treats! This was the first time we had used Holiday inn Express, as we were unaware that this hotel chain was dog friendly. The standard of room, it's decor and facilities are by far much better than the standards we have experienced with other dog friendly hotel chains. Will definitely use Holiday inn Express again in future! Special thanks again to Adam! A real credit to the team!

Great location. Lots of parking. Very friendly welcoming staff on all shifts. Lovely spacious room. Clean and well maintained hotel - both the room and all public areas. Particularly liked how fresh and clean the main reception and restaurant area smelled. Breakfast was really good, great selection.

We used Preston South as a stop off for a longer family journey. Location wise its perfect for the purposes and easy to find. We're regular users of Holiday Express, and this is a super example of clean, comfortable rooms, very spacious with ample communal areas. The service from the team was just as you'd expect, prompt, courteous and helpful. The parking space is generous and the bonus of the multiple high speed Tesla charging points just adds more value and was reasonably priced considering it's on a major travel route too. (Charging for all models not just Tesla) The food menu is ample but a tiny bit pricey. We decided to order in via deliveroo, which offered a multitude of choice and was quick too. One thing I wouldn't pass up on is the breakfast. A fantastic line up of choices, including a fresh pancake maker if you fancy it, with a great choice of lighter or cooked options. It was fresh and delicious. And served right up to the cut off time too - for any stragglers (not us I'm happy to say ). Overall, the stay represented good value, especially considering the unlimited breakfast. Did I mention the breakfast? A well placed, clean, comfortable environment that comes highly recommended.

Very impressed with this hotel, located just off the M6 near Preston. The bedroom was large, comfortable with all the required facilities for a business traveler such as desk, desk chair, desk light, charging ports. The bathroom was of a 5 star standard with a beautiful shower. There is an acceptable restaurant facility with limited menu but fine for a quick dinner. Highly recommend this hotel.

Good location for an overnight stop travelling from Herefordshire to Scotland. We had ground floor room 16. Lovely large room with double and single bed. Very spacious bathroom and lovely big shower. Very comfortable bed. Room was lovely and clean with only one exception. The kettle was very grubby as was the surrounding area. We had to clean it before we could use it. Breakfast was delicious but items kept running out and were not automatically replaced. A good selection of items, replaced quickly when people asked, but nobody seemed to be monitoring it. Probably our fault for arriving at 8.45 as did most guests when breakfast finished at 9am. Its a lovely hotel, extremely spacious with polite and friendly staff. I would be happy to stay there again.

My son picks me up to commute every morning for a commute to Cheshire. I've only ever had a coffee, and occasional drink in the evening, but the staff are worth a mention. Always very friendly and chatty. Greta service.

Very comfortable hotel. Food ok ,staff ,excellent. Location has easy access to motorway and as a consequence can quite disturbing at night, if you like your window open. Rooms have aircon tho.

The hotel room was absolutely spotless. I think our bathroom must have been brand new! The room was spacious, the staff were so friendly, and the breakfast was constantly being restocked (fab choice of breakfast!)
